McHugh Media is looking for a freelance magazine designer to join our busy, creative team based in Surry Hills, 5 days per week, 9 – 5.30pm, from November 12 – December 20 2012.
Your responsibilities will include:
Assisting the art director with the design and layout of editorial pages for both the Australian and New Zealand magazines.
Creation of advertising, marketing and point of sale material for print and online.
Preparation of print-ready files plus image research and file archiving.
Ipad: Extend existing designs for ipad app
The ideal candidate will have:
At least 3 years experience in the magazine publishing, or related industry
A passion for magazine design and the ability to work as part of a busy team and meet deadlines.
A thorough understanding of InDesign and Photoshop.
Knowledge of Flash and HTML would be preferred.
