NewsLocal has a great opportunity for an experienced newspaper editor to join its team. The successful applicant will have at least 5 years experience as a journalist and a further two years in managing a newsroom.
He/she will possess a true interest in community journalism, have a strong news sense as well as an intimate knowledge of all aspects of newspaper reporting, editing and production.
Using your experience gained in the media industry, you will be a creative, energetic and talented editor with the ability and desire to mentor staff and be social media savvy.
NewsLocal is Sydney’s leading community media company and is part of Australia’s largest media organisation, News Limited. In this role, the Editor will initially relieve where required across any of our 20 titles at various locations across metropolitan Sydney.
A high level of competency using the Cybergraphic system is preferred.
