exceptional Director / DOP to join our team at this exciting time of growth.
Based in our
Melbourne HQ in Fitzroy you will work closely with the Director of Video
Production and the Editorial team to bring Broadsheet’s stories to life through
high quality video that continues to build on our reputation for publishing
requires an all rounder Director/Cinematographer that is passionate about the
entire creative process from conception stages through to capturing footage and
then diving into post-production.

Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts, Video, Film, Communications, or related
Minimum 5 years industry experience in video production and editing
preferably in a production company
Quick to understand a brief and ability to provide creative concepts
Experience working on multiple projects at the same time
Experience of working to tight deadlines
In this role
you’ll also need excellent technical knowledge of all aspects of video
production, including camera operation, editing, and delivery including:
DSLR / Digital video operation expert
Passion for capturing footage in the field
Studio lighting, audio, and camera operation experience
Expert knowledge of video editing utilising Premiere Pro, After Effects
and the entire Adobe CC Suite
Experience incorporating motion graphics and 2D animation
Excellent sound design and timing
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively
Skilled in time management - ability to manage multiple projects and
Innovative and strategic thinker
Passionate about technology
Working knowledge of design best practices
Expert at video delivery to web platforms
Ideal but not mandatory: DaVinci Resolve and Indesign
would work closely with the video team on many different projects from initial
brainstorm to final delivery and will be happy to tackle any project given,
whilst working within Broadsheet style and tone.
