Assistant Producer

MTV Networks Australia has an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Producer to join our team on temporary basis.
In this role you will be reporting into our Executive Producer and based at our offices in Darlinghurst. You will be responsible for:
• Completing or overseeing the following for MTV News; basic directing of crews / talent in the field and studio; researching; forward planning; booking and briefing of guests and VJs; ordering graphics, music, props with relevant departments; music reporting; filling out risk assessment forms
•Assist in creating structure, scripts and rundowns for new and on-going projects in the production department.
•Producing multi platform local content such as festival support and commercial work where necessary
•Research and write biographies for talent interviews and related projects.
•Assist with idea generation and interview questions.
•Assisting with communication requirements to reporters, crew and talent, as well as post-production staff.
To be successful for this role you will be advanced in Final Cut Pro, camera skills, a great sense of humour, creative talent and a passion for pop culture, music and television. We are looking for someone who has at least 2 years experience working in television production with great attention to detail and creative flair.
