It is one of Australia’s largest annual cultural events and has an international reputation for modern, popular and contemporary programming spanning all art forms including dance, theatre, music, visual arts and large-scale free outdoor events.

PURPOSE OF POSITION
Designer is a key player in the implementation of Sydney Festival’s marketing
Designer works with the Graphic Design Manager in the implementation of the
overall marketing and promotional strategies and campaigns for Sydney Festival.
2. ORGANISATIONAL CONTEXT OF POSITION
The position forms an
integral part of Sydney Festival’s marketing team, supporting the Graphic
Design Manager in the ongoing management of the integrity of the Festival
brand; development of the Festival profile as well as generating box office
income. This is achieved through an overarching integrated communications
campaign as well as targeted campaigns for individual events, productions and
strands. The department also delivers marketing benefits to sponsors.
The department is
responsible for ensuring the Festival is perceived as being successful, ethical
and vibrant and therefore attractive to audiences, sponsors and other key
stakeholders – from Board members to current and potential employees and
Outside the department,
the position liaises with Development, Programming, Production and
Administration departments, the Executive Office and external suppliers.

We are now looking for an experienced Marketing Designer to join the General Entertainment Channels team in North Ryde! In this role you will lead the channel's off-air design efforts for multi-platform marketing solutions including brand campaigns and individual title campaigns for our local productions & key acquisitions.

What you will do:Creation and development of a diverse range of off-air marketing material across multiple media touch pointsAbility to manage multiple projects from conception to completion with a high standard of accuracy and quality. Plus build an off-air design solution to an on-air creative briefCollaborating with on-air and platform creative teams on a range of projects that covers the full design spectrumProduction, implementation and delivery of media campaign assets including but not limited to; large format outdoor, magazine & newspaper print advertising, flash & media rich display advertising units, Foxtel platform marketing elements and social and digital assets A deep knowledge of marketing platforms and the ability to push boundaries and see what is possible in off-air environmentsStrong understanding of layout design, page composition and an eye for typography and message hierarchyProduce & create photo shoot brief including scamps, style and tonal references prior to campaign commencementCreate & produce all designs for events, partnerships, signage and merchandiseA proven track record in managing multiple design projects often under demanding and competing timelines while maintaining a high quality standard

About the successful applicant
To be successful in this role you will,Have experience in generating creative concepts for marketing/advertising campaigns and publications.Have a diploma level qualification in a relevant discipline and at least a minimum of 4 years work-related experience, OR a Degree qualification with at least 2 years relevant experience.Have advanced knowledge of the Adobe Suite including Indesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Acrobat software for Mac and preferably digital design skills.
