CREATIVE SYDNEY 10X10
My current key role is to lead the creative direction and re-activation of Customs House, a City of Sydney landmark re-adapted heritage building in Sydney's Circular Quay. This is where I program, create and deliver a much-publicized multi-disciplinary exhibition programme that includes producing numerous experiential events throughout the building and on the forecourt of Customs House.
My interest in digital architecture has led me to work closely with artists and designers such as Patrick Keane , Frank Minnaert, Peter Murphy and the Laboratory of Visionary Architecture LAVA, the designers of the award-winning Green Void installation and the Giant Digital Origami Tigers lanterns which recently embarked on a world tour with the WWF to highlight the plight of endangered animals. The media wall on the ground level of the building serves as a showcase for screening the works of emerging digital artists; while the exhibition and library lounge on level one and the library gallery on level two has showcased the work of more established digital practitioners.
I’ve had over 15 years experience within the arts and design industries, with 10 years of running my own jewellery design studio.
I’ve also developed and mounted highly successful cultural and events programmes such as the Sydney Asia Pacific Film Festival, the Smart Lights installations, and Gallery 4A contemporary Asian arts fundraiser events. I continue to collaborate with creative’s exploring in fields of visionary architecture, innovation, design, photography, digital media to help transform Sydney into a dynamic, forward-looking city - truly a world-class digital hub.
