A group of Melbourne's most interesting artists, designers and bespoke artisans can now be found in one place – at the Compound Interest Centre for Applied Arts, a new independent artist-run venture that recently opened in a warehouse in the back streets of Collingwood.
For the first time in three and a half years, there are two much sought after spaces available for rent at The Compound Interest, available now. Located metres from Smith Street, in the heart of Collingwood, the Compound is a special place for businesses and individuals working in the applied arts, and we are seeking two equally special tenants. For photos and descriptions, please see below:
Featuring over 150sqm of clear floorspace, The Compound Gallery space is seeking a new shared tenant following the relocation of Lamington Drive. As the 'heart' of The Compound, the purpose of the space is to encourage public access to the building through a range of artistic or cultural programming.
The space is currently on a bi-monthly arrangement with The Pin-Up Project Space, and our first preference would be to let the space to a tenant who can continue this arrangement in terms of alternating the use of the space in two months on/two months off blocks beginning in April, however we welcome enquiries from any and all interested parties who are committed to public access and cultural programming.
Full MDF cladding, Track Lighting, and access to Projection and PA systems and Front of House desk and storage area + security system and shared amenities. Council permits in place for monthly evening openings/events (From 6-9) and Saturday opening hours as well. All you need to do is move in!
Additional 50sqm of additional or retail space also available, please see our other listing for details.
Incredibly reasonable rent for the right tenant. Price depends on total space required and other factors. Please contact Jeremy for more details.
