I believe that the digital sphere and social media have incredible potential and provide both businesses and individuals with great freedoms.
My engagement with the digital space includes roles as SEO content producer, content manager, social media marketer and online copy writer.
My goal is to capitalise on the opportunities offered by the digital space to create value for businesses and build innovative products and services for organisations and individuals.
Content management- Created engaging content about entrepreneurship and innovation, filtered Wordpress comments and designed the appearance of content on the client's website.
Direct marketing- Curated newsletters to inform subscribers of upcoming events and industry information.
SEO blogging- Employed SEO strategies such as meta tagging, Google keyword tool analytics and back linking to produce content.
Network building- Acted as the iPitch representative at networking events to keep iPitch fresh in the mind of the relevant parties and people.
Copy writing- Created slogans for Magnum, Choice magazine, Sydney Swans and other brands in preparation for job pitches.
Advertorial script writing- Created an advertorial script for My Vale sandals to be screened during the Mornings with Kerri-Anne show.
Evaluation and analysis of creative briefs- Participated in brainstorming sessions for different briefs such as Bertolli Five Brothers, Continental Side Dish and Unilever.
Content management - Managed, monitored and moderated the content of an online startup. This also involved research to discover consumer insights and potential competitors.
Blogger outreach - Created a list of relevant blogs and websites, sent out media releases and private beta invites to editors and writers.
Digital PR - Monitored the response rate and communicated with the interested parties, ensuring that they promptly received beta invites and communicated the information to their readers.
Social media monitoring and management- created copy for brand's Facebook pages and filtered fan comments.
Analysis of Facebook as an advertising tool - Evaluated the engagement value of Facebook status updates and online interaction rates.
Marketing strategy - Created strategy documents and recommendations based on Facebook analysis and trend research.
I was selected as one of the 25 students to participate in a video blog project run by UNSW Student Development.
Content creation - Created video blogs about university related issues.
Data analysis - Participated in group discussions to evaluate trends of video content with other participants. Proposed solutions to perceived problems in the university system and corresponded with organisers to suggest possible applications of the raw video data.
Writing - Submitted feature articles, reviews and short stories to Tharunka magazine as a regular contributor.
Editorial duties - Corresponded with editors to review work and make improvements.
Online content management - Developed ideas for the design of the Tharunka web page.
