My proposal, “Melbourne Atomic”, was my response to the statement 'Bringing Melbourne Together' in the poster competition sponsored by Metro trains, my poster aims to bring Melbourne together by directly involving and reflecting everyone who lives in this city. (in the final version there is a little mirror 4cm diameter)
Because we are all part of the cities movement the mirror acts as a metaphor, signifying the individual’s role in the heartbeat of the city,
The poster represents Melbourne as a giant atom and using typography to include; culture, education, freedom, independence, life, love, harmony, cooperation, work, languages, light, diversity, all transported by a network in which we can go anywhere.
My aim was to create awareness that we are all one; we are million of particles who share the energy of a city in constant motion.
