Stepping inside Jessica’s portfolio for the first time is a trip into her own kind of wonderland. Brightly coloured cargo ships adorn the heads of wide eyed beauties that stalk your eyes with pop-coloured tribal eyeshadow. As you peruse past other compositions in her portfolio your sense of scale is thrown out, feeling very small at times, very large at others. Jessica Singh has a passion for colour, textile and pattern, shape and the curiosity of the innocent. Scale, composition and perspective are all servants of Jessica’s passions. St Martins School of Art in London gave her an understanding of these rules and she knows how to apply them, but also when too strict an adherence to them would restrain the effect of her work.
