Screenwriting for Film - ONLINE
New South Wales, Sydney
This very popular online course gives participants a ‘toolbox’ for creating an industry-standard, feature film script.
The course comprises 10 modules with a variety of weekly assignments and collaborative activities. With a strong focus on concept, structure, story and character, this lively and engaging course makes the task of screenwriting that much easier for emerging writers by imparting the skills of preparation. This is the extensive ground work you do before you actually start writing.
Participants should begin this course with the germ of an idea for a genre based screenplay in mind. This should not be an idea that has already been written as a screenplay. By the end of this course participants will have gone through the process of developing their idea into a fully fledged screenplay story with a traditional three act structure. Note: this course has a large workload. Participants will need to dedicate at least 10 hours per week to 2 × 90min on-line chat sessions (Mon & Wed @ 7.00pm AEST), screenplay reading, film viewing and written assignments.
