Christie grew up in the tropical landscape of the Sunshine Coast and is now lucky to have her own artists studio nestled amongst the tall mountain ash in the Dandenong Ranges. From her naturally lit, plant filled studio she draws, paints and creates using watercolour and ink for print, stationery and surface design.
Her personal work is largely inspired by the vintage books and unusual trinkets she has collected over the years, and the memories of her childhood explorations in nature. She also draws influence from the elegant styling in 1950's film and print, with an appreciation for the outfits, beauty and grace presented. All of these influences from nature and the past are held close to her heart and absorbed into her work wherever possible.
Her artwork has been exhibited around Australia as well as internationally, including exhibitions with Belle Magazine, Brooklyn Art Library, and Brunswick Street Gallery.
