Joseph Wong is an award winning filmmaker with over 12 years of experience in commercial film shoots and post production.
He started out in 1998 as production coordinator for Japanese commercials filmed on location in Australia and New Zealand. In 2001, Joseph established his film and video production business “Creative Engine J.O.E.” and has since worked on a variety of local and Japanese projects ranging from promos, commercials, corporate videos, short films and feature films. His roles have included production coordinating, camera operating, editing, producing and directing.
In 2004, Joseph’s directorial debut featurette “Wahori Days” won best film at the Indies Movie Festival in Tokyo. His short film “10 Yen” won the bronze prize in the same year at the Akatsuka Kaikan Gag Video Contest.
Recently, Joseph completed his first independent feature film "Line Disconnect", which he wrote, edited, produced and directed. This quirky comedy about the filming of a Japanese cult movie in Australia will premiered at Supanova Pop Culture Expo in April 2011.
