Hello // My name is Ben Mayo and I'm a passionate Graphic Designer residing in Sydney. I have recently graduated from Billy Blue College of Design with a Bachelor in Applied Design and an Associate Degree in Communication Design.
In my third year I was involved in a number of projects, including the November 2010 Billy Blue Graduate Exhibition; Welcome to the Neighbourhood. My key role involved the print design, which included the design of the catalogues, invitations and posters. I was also involved in the recent edition of BBetween Magazine; Edition 3: Demonstrating the Value of Design (Thinking). In this project, it was my responsibility to design the magazine layout, while also contributing some illustrations, but most importantly working as a member of a team, combining our ideas, and our thoughts into one work.
I believe design is a quirky and unusual creation, and when created, can lead to a tantalising experience for ones mind.
My true passion in graphic design lies within print, but I love to experiment with typography, illustration and photography. I even dabble with a bit multimedia and web design. Using my talent for layout and type design, it is my aim to enter the editorial industry.
