Exciting opportunity exists for a Group Account Director with at least 5 years digital experience to join a well recognised and respected full service agency with digital at its core. This is an expanding mid sized agency producing progressive creative solutions and exceptional results for its clients. The GAD will work on a portfolio of blue chips clients ($2M>) to deliver profitable, sustainable growth and successfully lead new business development.

THE ROLE:
Client Leadership & Development
- Establish excellent relationships with senior clients whereby they seek and trust
your expertise and opinions as a valued partner
- Direct the client to understand the value of digital and grow the role of digital in
their marketing programs and customer relationships
- Identify opportunities and cross-sell other integrated services to expand relationship and secure a larger portion of their marketing budget
- Act with an entrepreneurial spirit to proactively propose ideas for their marketing
and/or business, and convert those opportunities into paid-for work
- Consistently act with leadership qualities: vision, ambition, accountable, decisive,
integrity, assertive, motivate, reliable, trustworthy, high standards
Strategic Marketing:
- Maintain a detailed understanding of the client business challenges and marketing objectives
- Continuously expand your marketing intelligence and understanding of
consumers in the digital age through reading, debating, attending events
- Participate in, and learn about, social marketing and the impact for clients
- Use your knowledge of the various integrated marketing channels to sell-in ideas for your clients business needs
- Lead your client and internal teams to ensure powerful insights and audience understanding in order to deliver the most effective communications
- Keep abreast of developments in digital marketing and lead by example
Team Leadership:
- Provide clear role and responsibility definitions for each member of your team
- Develop the skills and knowledge of your team through mentoring, supervision
and providing continual feedback on performance
- Acknowledge great performance of your team members
- Delegate the appropriate tasks to ensure an acceptable workload for each team member
- Ensure performance appraisals are completed for each member
- Proactively contribute to a positive team atmosphere and company culture
