Wedding Invitation

My first client. They loved my work, especially ‘Impassioned (2008)’. They asked me to design their wedding invitation, something that would reflect how they met and their interests.
They both loved travel and even though they were meant to be, they were so different from each other, opposites attract!
To depict their love for travel, I constructed a band with an imprint of an ancient world map over which ran a two-coloured printed band with their names “Penny and Bastien ……….. the Journey Continues”, finished off with a bronze seal with has their initials “PB” especially made and couriered from a supplier in Brisbane. Because the couple was so different from each other I decided to convey their personalities typographically within the body of the invite.
I used ‘Kunster’ type for their names at the top of the invitation symbolizing Penny’s femininity and ‘Trojan’ for the body text of the invitation to portray Bastien’s masculinity.
