I am primarily a Club & Radio DJ / Producer from Sydney and I also have a fashion label with my partner Marc Hendrick called Das Monk. We collaborate with emerging artists from all over the world to create clothing & tshirt art.
I have been performing locally & internationally as a DJ for about 5 years, most recently recruited as the first girl to mix cd's for Ministry of Sound. Funny really considering for the first few years my mixtapes featured mostly wierd progressive hip hop, Indie, disco & genre bending stuff. Maybe that I came from there adds a different angle to it. I have also toured Australia & Europe in a band called the Bumblebeez & collaborate regularly with Nina Las Vegas & Bad Ezzy in our crew Hoops.
I have been hosting the Sunset radio show on fBi for 4 years now with DJ Kato. We focus on exposing the most innovative new dance music from around the world & are lucky enough to get to interview internationally renouned producers & djs on a week to week basis.
I was nominated for 10 x 10 for the work I do creating/producing show music for fashion shows. I have done show music for Zimmerman, Sass and Bide, Lisa Ho, Diesel, Hugo Boss, Louis Vuitton, Fendi, Marnie Skillings and Many more. Working with the designers and creating something that works with their artistic vision is something that I really enjoy. It lets me utilize my musical depth in a way that djing in nightclubs kind of limits. In the future I would like to do more of this kind of collaborating, soundtrack composing & producing as well as produce music myself.
