About Me
Through the use of digital drawing, laser cutting and print making techniques, I am attempting to explore ideas about journey, silence and nostalgia. By drawing on images from the natural and built environments and by including objects and pattern reminiscent of the past, i wish to tease out a sense of something having been familiar yet gone.
In my painting works I have been interested in trying to capture moments of stillness, heaviness and silence, people rarely activate the images and the strength of the forms themselves dominate or can be seen as quiet or oppressive. I hope to continue with this line of inquiry as my practice progresses.
