‘Lineage’ is an intimate account examining the dynamics of a multi-generational extended family within the confinements of their own home. More than a look into a family album, ‘Lineage’ delves deeply into the journey of one’s own morality, exploring the notion of time and space, and how its very essence instigates a unique experience for each generation.
From the impressionable and untainted youth, to the joys and tribulations of parenthood, ‘Lineage’ ends fittingly with a grandparents’ perspective, the return of the fragile with the coming of age.
Each chapter explores the highs and lows of a tight nuclear unit, sharing intimate moments of the human condition both individual and collective. With this it leaves us with one unflinching truth: a family whatever the dynamics, shapes our very existence, and those who follow. In addition to one’s legacy, what is left behind when we leave is the tangible. Photographs of moments that once were, people that once lived, and memories that once resonated by association.
