"Eloquent Expression of Form"

Fashion Design, Apparel

My design concept formed and developed through the study of the evolution and revolution of
contemporary Chinese fashion design, is about spiritual freedom and individuality. Free in style and an aesthetic of elegant charm paired with sophisticated art forms, is reflected through textile design, surface form and a combination of simplicity with volume-up details.

Inspired by the illusion of both Chinese and Western art works, natural fabrics in light weights and translucent characteristics are highlighted. Fostered by a love for fabric manipulation, modernised hand craftsmanship applied to create an engineered surface form, individual looks, and desirability by being different but beautiful, yet comfortable, and elegant. This use of the textile techniques is seen as the basis of a wearable art form and offers the ability to produce unique signature garments. Eloquent Expression of Form introduces and reveals a personal style, and demonstrates a unique creative capability, characteristic and personality to the viewers and wearers.
