About Me
Thomas Pendergast is a Melbourne based artist working across a range of media including painting, sculpture and installation. A graduate of the Australian Academy of design majoring in Visual Arts, Thomas has quickly become involved in a variety of projects. For the past few years, Thomas has participated in several group exhibitions at the Clement Meadmore Gallery in Port Melbourne and earlier this year – in collaboration with Studio Osk - was awarded a Rainbow Serpent Festival Arts Grant, to design and build a large-scale sculpture to be incorporated into the festival environment.
Thomas currently works out of Ironside Studios in Kensington where, aside from pursuing private artistic endeavors and producing commissioned portrait works for private clientele, has worked as an artists assistant to kinetic sculptor Laura Woodward. His most recent achievement is the completion of “Super Enamel”, Thomas’ introductory solo exhibition. Upcoming exhibitions include 'SLUMPTUOUS' opening on May 1st at The Old Bar, and an as yet untitled and undated show at Dear Patti Smith... some time in late May or early June
