Momentum Management

Working with a small and dedicated team, my role is to plan, manage and evaluate the annual calendar of events for this practice management company. With 60 events (comprising of seminars, client workshops and international tradeshows) throughout Australia and New Zealand a year, I am single-handedly working on an average of five events a month. My duties vary from participant registration, budget management and event logistics though to liaising with hotels and venues across the country.

I was recently working with the Disability Services Commissioner, a position I held since relocating to Melbourne in 2008. Assisting across the office I had various marketing, strategic and administrative responsibilities. Whilst employed with the Commissioner I undertook several training programs to ensure my customer service skills were impeccable and I became highly experienced in complaint handling.

My position as the sole Events Officer was responsible for developing, effectively coordinating and delivering the annual events calendar under the supervision of the Cultural Services Team Leader. I specifically focussed on event concept development, planning, promotion, coordination and evaluation. In addition to this I was also responsible for supervising casual staff and volunteers, liaising with other Government authorities and commercial organisations and providing customer service to residents.

Working next to the Director and Senior Event Manager of this boutique events management company I assisted in the planning, coordination and implementation of several high profile Perth events including Tristan’s at the Perth Centre and the inaugural celebrity charity ball CelebriArt 2006.
