These works reflect far more than any words I or anyone else may use to express, interpret or define. They are symbolic of a multitude of elements, filled with hidden statements and inspired by movements or era's in both 'art' and 'life'. My work speaks of our passion, our inabilities and insecurities, our expressions of love and lust, our cries for help and freedom, our desires and fears... all of which are embodied within every single one of us. The red stripes across the eyes symbolize passion, yet in contrast, also suggest that we are stopping ourselves from seeing our own and a greater beauty. Red is almost always used to halt movement. I want to draw the viewer to challenge there own ideas, to observe deeper than the contrast of beauty destroyed by textures and paints. To come to a place of truly seeing beyond the vales of what I create.
