more...During my internship at QWeekend, a Brisbane lifestyle magazine, I was responsible for sub-editing articles and working closely with individual journalists to assist them with day to day tasks, interviews and stories to enable the publication of the weekly magazine.
During my internship at The Australian Canegrower, a fortnightly industry magazine, I was responsible for writing feature articles, performing interviews and assisting the Editor and other members of the team.

As a Communications Officer my primary responsibility is in supporting the Communications Manager with activities that enable the key stakeholders of SRDC, such as Federal and State Governments, the Australian Sugarcane Industry and local communities, to be kept informed with issues that impact the Australian Sugarcane Industry. I have additional responsibilities that include operating the front desk, facilitating meetings, managing projects, coordinating SRDC events and seminars, and various clerical duties.

•Published news articles for the fortnightly industry magazine, the Australian Canegrower
•Written and edited sponsorship documents and assisted with sponsorship programs
•Written and distributed media releases to key stakeholders and media
•Liaised with media to coordinate interviews, increase publicity and boost profile of SRDC
