Waiting for freedom.

About the project

My charcoal on paper work explores the plight of Sri Lankan refugees, homeless in their own country and forced to live in barbed-wire camps. The physical white space in my drawings suggests a freedom beyond reach. These people are restricted by more sinister invisibles than my barbed wire, ‘not there’.
