I cut my professional teeth as an event producer in Manchester with a super-talented and fun crew.
In the heady days of Mainstream (as the company was originally called), I produced high end, global events from cosmetics to motor sports, surviving on very little sleep!
What those four years taught me is that high production values, creative thinking, great relationships and a dynamic work environment produce exceptional results.
I relocated to Auckland in 2007 in pursuit of a less urban lifestyle. With the production and account management skills I’d acquired in the UK under my belt, I decided to broaden my repertoire and immerse myself in the world of consumer PR, sponsorship and experiential marketing.
Having honed my media and communication skills, I was keen to get back into an event specific role and joined J&A Productions, the team behind some of NZ’s best music and cultural events.
My time with J&A further developed my skills as an event manager while exposing me to the more commercial aspects of the industry; from developing new business leads to generating sponsorship.
I returned to the motherland in 2010 and am currently freelancing in London for live communications agency, Avantgarde
This has all lead me to where I am at now: a creative and strategic event specialist with broad marketing and PR skills, a diverse portfolio and international industry connections.
When I’m not working my favourite things in life are music, travel, film, literature, snowboarding, surfing, fine dining and fabulous company.
