Jason's paintings are about finding beauty in the forms of dolphins, even in the most gruesome and tragic of circumstances. He brings no cultural preconception to his work, allowing him to reflect on the imagery and to evaluate without cultural, social or political comment. Jason's style of work varies from the realistic to an abstracted and ambiguous style of painting, one that focuses on form and colour rather than graphic representation. This ambiguity helps to diminish the reality of the dolphin pods demise and enhance the beauty of their natural forms.
