At Hackett Films we’ve built a reputation for original, entertaining character animation and design-driven storytelling. From the deadly serious to the wickedly silly, we’ve tackled everything from television commercials to children’s books, with a simple goal of keeping the audience always coming back for more.
Founded in 2002 by award-winning director James Hackett, Hackett Films’ credits include the music-centric animated kids TV series and 2010 TV Week Logie nominee, dirtgirlworld for mememe productions. Other iconic projects include title sequences for Andrew Denton’s Zapruder’s Other Films (Enough Rope, The Gruen Transfer) and The Dissociatives’ series of animated music videos, which won two ARIA Awards (Best Video and Best Cover Art).
Hackett Films’ team of ground-breaking directors, producers, animators and designers are the recipients of more than 14 coveted industry awards including 2009 Gold Promax (Best Programme Title Design, The Burning Season), a 2009 Gold Promax (Best 2D Animation Design, Guerrilla Gardeners) and 2008 HotShop Award Finalist (Animation).
