DAMIAN WYVILL ACS

Damian Wyvill ACS is one of Australia's most sought after up and coming cinematographers. After starting out as a clapper loader, he soon rose to be the busiest focus puller in Australia. This took Damian all over the world and gave him opportunities to work on film sets of all sizes, locations, nationalities and with a myriad of personalities. Since finishing his "apprenticeship" on the STAR WARS prequels in 2001, Damian has been shooting his own stuff. He has shot 2nd Unit for Ray Lawrence on JINDABYNE, collaborated with Daniel Krige on Daniel's first feature, WEST. He spent 6 months shooting 2nd Unit for Baz Luhrmann on AUSTRALIA, followed by the feature LOCKED IN for Adam Blaiklock, filmed entirely on location in the Maldives and then collaborated with Michael Apted and Dante Spinotti on the third installment of NARNIA, THE VOYAGE OF THE DAWN TREADER and is currently shooting GODDESS for director Mark Lamprell. Not only extensive work on drama productions, Damian has also shot many commercials both in Australia and abroad. For both Australian directors and international teams alike. He has 20 odd years experience in the film industry and is very highly regarded amongst his peers. Now and in the future Damian is committed to learning, growing and extending his knowledge of shooting films. He considers keeping abreast of all the latest technology available paramount and therefore is very well educated in new formats and knowing when they may or may not be appropriate. Quite simply, Damian Wyvill is a cinematographer on the rise and one to watch.
