Design is a plan for arranging elements in such a way as best to accomplish a particular purpose.
As a visual merchandiser - imagination, innovation and creative exploration guide me in my approach when designing for a particular purpose. By applying design theory to my practical approach I can visually encourage prospective customers to stop, look, buy and - most importantly, return.
During my professional career, I have worked through numerous mediums from in-store visual displays, shop layouts and window displays, into large-budget television series, advertisements and films. My role within these positions have varied from Assistant Art Director, Set Designer, Stylist and Visual merchandiser. I have over five years of industry experience and a diploma in Styling and Design Co-ordination at Whitehouse Institute of Design in Sydney.
I am able to work on large to small commercial projects from conceptualisation, through to design and implementation. Having recently moved to Brisbane, I am now looking for a casual, part-time or full-time position to extend my portfolio and gain new experience within my field.
