About Me
Born, raised, and educated in Chicago, Book started his career as a graphic designer. Mostly for print, mainly for advertising, and maniacally for 8 years. He majored in Film and Video at Columbia College Chicago where he learned how to use a camera. His first love, however, has always been the pencil and pen.
He discovered his current style in a fit of frustration or laziness, it depends on when you ask him. His story changes often. Apparently, he grew tired of walking across the room to use the scanner and started photographing his drawings. Instead of using PhotoShop, he ripped drawings out of his sketch book and pieced his compositions together by hand. His eagerness lead him to his current process.
