I am a curious and imaginative freelance worker that has travelled through many fields of media development.
Never satisfied to be a one-trick pony, I constantly immerse myself in emerging technologies and mediums to deliver clients interesting, standards compliant and practical solutions. My freelance work takes me to all corners of creative fields including Flash and website development, filming, video editing and music production.
I am a natural team player and leader with a passion for free-thinking and creative ideas. I have a comprehensive and involved understanding of the importance of social networking and online presence in today's digital age.
In my spare time I write produce music with my band, Bon Chat, Bon Rat and hang out with my cat.

Website and Digital Media Developer NSW Department of Education and Communities Currently consulting for the Professional Learning, Leadership and Development Directorate, I have worked in partnership with NRMA, Royal Life Saving Society, Kids' Design Challenge and Premiers' Reading Challenge to produce cutting-edge, interactive e-learning courses and websites. The latest project I undertook was the 'e-Emergency care' training website and Flash module which is currently a compulsory course for 50,000 NSW Government school teachers. It includes interactive games and quizes, automated functionality to monitor course progress and a simple, hands-on layout and navigation. It is also very easily updated by the non-web-savvy, given it's XML and text backend. My involvement in the project was comprehensive, from the planning with Royal Life Saving Society and NSW DEC directors to working with content writers and editors to transform a heavily content-based document into an easily accessible and interesting online learning course. Ann McIntyre, Director of Professional Learning, Leadership and Development Directorate gave me feedback upon completion of the project: "I wanted to thank you for your wonderful work for Professional Learning and Leadership Development Directorate in developing the e-learning resources, Child Protection Awareness Training and e-Emergency care. Thank you also for the way you have become such a part of the Directorate’s team. I know just how much the rest of the team value you, your expertise and your willingness to share and learn together as you solve emerging IT challenges. "I anticipate that over the next three years almost every teacher in NSW government schools will access e-Emergency care and gain their certificate of completion. This means that the work that you have undertaken will be highly significant in providing e-learning that is available to all, easy to navigate, interesting in its presentation and provides flexibility in completing it. I look forward to getting feedback from staff who undertake this e-learning…I believe that they, like me will be impressed with just how easy it is to use, how good it looks and how well what can be very “dry” content is presented." Other recent projects for the NSW Department of Education and Communities include Child Protection Awareness Training (e-Learning course), database and website management for Curriculum Support Science and Technology Unit, filming and video editing for Kids' Design Challenge [ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ksi1XQ2hgGo ], the Classroom Teacher Program and Leadership Development websites and various other website and multimedia projects. |
